Rob’s career began in 1994 in his family’s salon, where he learnt hairdressing from the ground up. His early training gave him a real respect for precision, discipline and the craft of cutting, and those foundations still shape the way he works today.

Earlier in his career, Rob spent time working on the more creative side of the industry, including runway shows. These days, his focus is much closer to home: looking after his clients, developing the Figoli team and sharing the knowledge he has built over more than thirty years behind the chair.

Precision cutting has always been Rob’s thing. He has a natural eye for shape, balance and the way hair should sit and move, with a very considered approach to creating a cut that works for the person wearing it.

For many of his clients, though, the relationship goes far beyond hair. Some have been coming to Rob for decades, and over that time a genuine trust and connection has grown. Appointments can be as much about conversation, life and perspective as they are about the haircut.

Alongside his loyal clients, Rob plays a big part in the development of the Figoli team. Education and mentorship are a huge part of what he does now, passing on not just technique, but the judgement, standards and understanding of people that come with years of experience.
